The earliest part of the Bear dates to around 1550, people comment on the historic and romantic surroundings as a great reason to marry at the Bear. We’re licensed for weddings and have a large function room - The Bear Hall. United with our renowned food the venue and ambiance combine to make a wonderful day. The Bear has a helipad for those who choose to make a grand entrance, we also are able to provide horse and carriage for the bride and groom through our friends at Arraslea Shires. Over the years the Bear has witnessed many great family and social events. Birthdays, reunions, Christmas parties, anniversaries, Christenings and engagements. The flexibility of the venue and skill of the staff helps to turn any event into a relaxed experience that takes your mind off the details and onto those you’re with.
